Lochs & Hills

Once upon a time, a long long time ago, Hayley and Jarid decided to go to Scotland. It was a good idea, as it meant that Christopher (whom they had hosted in London) could tag along for the ride. So the three amigos met in Edinburgh and set off in persuit of a Scottish adventure. The drive was very loverly, with everyone enjoying the beautiful blue lochs, the thriving green country side & majestic mountains. By late afternoon the trio had reached Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the UK, and without a moments thought started its ascent. With an upset stomach, no water and no desire, Hayley soon decided to sit on a rock and wait for the boys to come back. Christopher and Jarid, both determined to reach the top and confident it was just over the next ridge, continued on until a passer by advised scythingly that with light dipping behind the hills and still another 2hrs to the top, that they absolute buckleys of making it. Defeated and hungry, the lads collected a bored Hayley and tumbled down the hill and into Fort William.

A charming sunny day greeted the three the next morning. “What a fantastic day to go to skye” they all thought, and with that they finished their English breakfast and were back on the road. Along the way they bumped into a pure brilliant castle situated on the shores of a loch, which was also the set for the movie film Highlanders. With a bagful of photos they waved goodbye and soon arrived on the rugged Isle of Skye, the home of deserted castles, funny looking cows, incredible rock formations and ringed with stunning coastline. For two days Hayley, Jarid and Christopher soaked up the scarce sunshine, walked some wonderful walks, and did some delightful drives.
